The meeting of Mrs. Ngo Phuong Ly with Vietnamese brides in Korea took place on the afternoon of August 10, in the capital Seoul in a cozy and warm atmosphere.
Mrs. Ngo Phuong Ly sent warm and affectionate feelings to Vietnamese brides living in Korea from her hometown.
Ms. Ngo Phuong Ly shared that the Vietnam - Korea relationship has been developing strongly, comprehensively and substantially, reflecting a new height in bilateral cooperation, not only in politics and economics but also in people-to-people exchanges and cultural exchanges, in which the Vietnamese community in Korea plays an extremely important role.
Currently, the Vietnamese community in Korea has become a strong community with more than 350,000 people, including more than 100,000 Vietnamese families. Through that, each sister, each multi-cultural Vietnamese - Korean family is a bridge, a messenger of friendship between the people of the two countries.
Listening to the sisters share about their lives, Mrs. Ngo Phuong Ly said that, overcoming the difficulties and bewilderment of the first days in Korea, the Vietnamese brides have gradually integrated into life away from home, striving to find a more beautiful life.
Despite having to strive to overcome barriers and integrate into new life, the women still do not forget to preserve ethnic culture in every language, customs and practices.
The wife was happy to see that the women had actively participated in community activities, supported each other, contributed to the local society and maintained a close connection with their homeland, fostering a new, stable and happy life.
General Secretary To Lam's wife hopes that, regardless of any difficulties, problems or any support needs, the women can go to the Embassy in Seoul, Consulate General in Busan or Vietnamese associations in Korea to be listened to, shared and supported to resolve their thoughts and aspirations.
The wife emphasized that the Party and State always consider the overseas Vietnamese community an inseparable part, the blood of the nation, always closely following the lives of people living abroad, in particular paying special attention to the lives of Vietnamese women who marry foreigners.
Expressing their honor when Mrs. Ngo Phuong Ly took the time to meet her best friend, the Vietnamese brides in Korea shared about their lives. Through the stories, they all affirmed that although living in the "land of kimchi", everyone tries every day and strives to live better, not only taking care of their family to have a peaceful life but also helping society to make life more meaningful and valuable.
Vietnamese brides hope that more overseas Vietnamese will participate in the Vietnamese language training course and be provided with appropriate textbooks for the age of children of multi-cultural families. The brides also hope to have more support to help single mother families.
The brides hope that the Party and the State will create conditions for them to receive their nationality again; support mothers and children to have regular opportunities to return to Vietnam to participate in cultural experience programs in Vietnam.
