Permanent Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Minh Vu said that President Luong Cuong's working trip was a great success. The Party and State of China have given the President and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation a warm, thoughtful and affectionate welcome to comrades and brothers. According to Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Vu, the working trip achieved two outstanding results.
Firstly, attending the 80th Anniversary of the Socialist Victory Ceremony is an affirmation of the spirit of peace and the will to fight for justice of the Vietnamese people, while demonstrating the consistent viewpoint of our Party and State in closely cooperating with the international community, contributing responsibly to peace, stability and cooperation in the region and the world. The presence of the President at the event also shows the connection between Vietnam's history of struggle and the common efforts of the world's people for freedom and independence.
Second, the working trip continues to deepen the Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership, the Community of Shared Future of Vietnam - China with strategic significance. President Luong Cuong had a very successful meeting with General Secretary and President Xi Jinping, meeting and attending the reception of National People's Artist Zhao Lusi. The leaders of the two Parties and two countries had friendly, sincere and effective exchanges, identifying many important measures to continue to realize high-level common perceptions, focusing on further enhancing political trust, promoting substantive cooperation, closely coordinating multilaterally, resolutely handling disagreements, enhancing humanistic exchanges, and working towards a stable, healthy and sustainable development of bilateral relations.
The President also met with relatives of some advisers, generals, and friendly people of China and Vietnam who have contributed to the past struggle against colonialism to gain national independence.
Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Vu said that in the coming time, the two sides agreed to deploy the results of the working trip on the basis of three platforms: Political platform, material platform and social platform. Regarding political foundations, the two sides continue to strengthen trust, maintain high-level strategic exchanges, and comprehensively cooperate through channels of the Party, State, Government, National Assembly, and Front, from the central to local levels. The two countries will coordinate to handle disagreements, maintain a peaceful and stable environment, and jointly promote multilateralism.
In terms of material foundation, continue to deeply connect the two economies, creating new bright spots in all areas where both sides have strengths and needs such as agricultural trade, railway connection, cooperation in building large, typical projects, enhancing scientific - technological cooperation, innovation, training high-quality human resources, high-tech agriculture, environmental protection. The Chinese leader affirmed his readiness to continue expanding imports of Vietnamese goods and encourage high-quality investment.
Regarding social platforms, the two sides promote people-to-people, tourism, education, cultural exchanges, open more direct flights, and facilitate visas. The two sides will coordinate to organize activities during the Vietnam - China Humanitarian Exchange Year, enhance youth exchanges, and help the younger generation better understand the history and friendship between the two countries.
Deputy Minister Nguyen Minh Vu emphasized that the departments, ministries, branches and localities of the two countries will actively concretize high-level common perceptions into practical results, bringing benefits to the people, contributing to peace, cooperation and development in the region and the world.
