Ukrainian President talks about "Victory Plan"

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky shared in a speech on the evening of September 18 that the "Victory Plan" to bring peace to Ukraine is ready.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said his "Victory Plan" to bring peace to Ukraine, keep the country strong and avoid any "frozen conflict" is now complete after many consultations.

Last month, President Zelensky said he would present this winning plan to US President Joe Biden, likely next week when the Ukrainian leader attends meetings of the UN Security Council and the UN General Assembly.

Despite daily updates on the plan’s preparation, Zelensky gave few clues about its contents, Reuters reported, saying only that the plan was aimed at creating terms acceptable to Ukraine, which has been in a 2-1/2-year conflict with Russia.

"Today, we can say that our victory plan is fully prepared. All the points, focus areas and necessary additional details of the plan have been identified. The most important thing is the determination to implement it" - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky shared in his speech on the evening of September 18.

There is no alternative to peace, no freezing of the war or any other manipulation to postpone the Russian-Ukrainian conflict to another stage, Mr. Zelensky said.

Earlier this week, the Ukrainian president said a meeting with senior commanders had produced “good and strong content” on the military front, which could significantly strengthen Ukraine’s power.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has unveiled a peace plan by the end of 2022 that calls for the withdrawal of all Russian troops, the restoration of Ukraine's post-Soviet borders and a provision that holds Russia accountable for its attack on Ukraine.

President Volodymyr Zelensky's peace plan was the focus of a "peace summit" hosted by Switzerland in June. The parties have pledged to convene a second summit later this year.

Russia was not invited to the June summit, calling it pointless. Ukraine and its allies have said Russia could attend a second summit.
