According to the Vietnam Peacekeeping Department, the blue beret soldiers working at Level 2 Field Hospital No. 6 (BVDC 2.6) in South Sudan were recently visited by Lieutenant General and Commander of the United Nations Peacekeeping Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS), Mr. Mohan Sabrahamanian, to wish them a Happy New Year and commend them for their achievements in 2024.
While in charge of the Unity Sub-Zone in South Sudan in 2024, L2.6 helped the United Nations improve the quality of medical examination and treatment to support local people in the context of an extremely complicated cholera epidemic.
During the visit, Mr. Sabrahamanian took special note of this situation and requested Field Hospital 2.6 to continue to promote current activities, strengthen disease screening and prevention measures, and coordinate regional screening.

The Commander of the UNMISS Mission also expressed his appreciation for the efforts and achievements of Field Hospital 2.6 in the recent past, and encouraged the unit to continue promoting its existing strengths and contribute more to the medical work of the Mission.
On the eve of Lunar New Year 2025, Lieutenant General Mohan Sabrahamanian sent best wishes to the soldiers working at Field Hospital 2.6 and all the Vietnamese people.
Lieutenant General Mohan Sabrahamanian continued to express his gratitude for Vietnam's active role and significant contributions in the cause of world peacekeeping.
In response to the enthusiastic attention of the Commander of the UNMISS Mission, Lieutenant Colonel Tran Anh Duc, who is also the Director of Field Hospital 2.6, affirmed that Field Hospital 2.6 will continue to strive to successfully complete all assigned tasks in the coming time.
