Quoc Trai Clement Em Tran became a Vietnamese citizen to seek opportunities to compete in professional cycling in his new hometown.

On November 19, the Vietnam Bicycle & Motor Sports Federation officially informed about the French-origin tractor Clement Em Tran changing his nationality to officially become a Vietnamese citizen. At the same time, this athlete is no longer managed by the French Bicycle Federation.

The Vietnam Cycling & Motor Sports Federation announced in writing the approval of the World Cycling Federation (UCI) on November 17 to confirm that Clement Em Tran is under the management of the Vietnam Cycling & Motor Sports Federation and has the right to sign a contract or represent any Vietnamese cycling team competing, including the Vietnam Cycling Team.

Previously, Clement Em Tran expressed his wish to come to Vietnam to compete in professional cycling and find an opportunity to contribute to the Vietnam Cycling Team.

This athlete was born in 1999. UCI confirmed that Clement Em Tran has not competed for the French Bicycle Federation in international tournaments as well as the European tournament system, world championship or Olympics. Therefore, Clement Em Tran does not violate UCI regulations if competing for the Vietnam Cycling Team in international tournaments.

Currently, Clement Em Tran has not worn a bicycle team shirt in Vietnam.
