On the evening of December 12, swimmer Nguyen Quang Thuan brought home a gold medal for Vietnamese swimming at the 33rd SEA Games. This is a special milestone in Quang Thuan's career when the male swimmer won his first gold medal in the men's individual 400m event.
In contrast to the emotional celebrations and cheers, the younger brother of former swimmer Nguyen Thi Anh Vien celebrated gently, smiling friendlyly, and sharing joy with fans and the media.
Right after the moment her younger brother stepped onto the podium, Anh Vien posted on her personal Facebook page, expressing her best wishes.
"I know what you have gone through. For the past 10 years, I have tried tirelessly and today all my efforts have finally been rewarded. She and her family are really proud of her. Just get up, your journey is just getting started. I believe the best things are still waiting for me," Anh Vien wrote.

Below the comments, many friends and fans sent their congratulations to Quang Thuan as well as Anh Vien's family.
Quang Thuan once shared that he always received great spiritual encouragement from his sister. Anh Vien often calls to cheer him on and remind him to stay calm to compete with all his might. The tuna menopause man also admitted that there was no pressure because he was Anh Vien's younger brother.
Anh Vien has been a big symbol of Vietnamese swimming for many years. She clearly understands the pressures and sacrifices that a swimmer must go through to step up to the throne of glory. Therefore, Anh Vien sympathizes with her younger brother and is proud of the results of the younger brother that she has followed since she was a child.
With the historic gold medal of Nguyen Quang Thuan, this is considered a big boost, opening a new journey for the young swimmer - who is expected to become the next symbol of the Vietnam green race.
