The 33rd SEA Games Organizing Committee officially announced the roadmap for cycling competition

After many days of waiting, the roadmap for the 33rd SEA Games bicycle competition has been announced so that countries can prepare carefully.

A representative of the Vietnam Cycling Team said that they have grasped the competition route at the 33rd SEA Games after the host Thailand recently announced it.

Previously, countries participating in the cycling event could not confidently prepare because the competition route was kept confidential by host Thailand.

According to Lao Dong's research, the Vietnam Bicycle Team will propose to a management level to go to Thailand soon to get acquainted with the competition terrain.

The 33rd SEA Games school cycling event will start on December 14, however, the Vietnam Men's School Cycling Team is expected to arrive in Thailand on December 2 to practice before the competition.

Meanwhile, the Vietnam Women's School Cycling Team plans to go to Thailand on December 6.

School bicycles are expected to compete at Kamol Sports Park in Bangkok (Thailand) while mountain bicycles will compete at Khao Kheow Open Zoo in Chonburi (Thailand).

The men's school cycling competition route has a total distance of 161.2km and for women is 134.8km. In the individual time trial, the men's competition route is 48.5km long, while the women's criterium has a route of 1.9km/round.

The cycling event of the 33rd SEA Games will organize 17 events.

Of which, school bicycles include 7 events with 4 for men and 3 for women. Basin bicycles have 5 events (4 men's, 1 women's), mountain bicycles have 3 events (2 men's, 1 women's) and BMX bicycles have 2 men's events. Vietnamese sports are expected to participate in school bicycles and mountain bicycles.
