Vietnam taekwondo team hopes to compete for 3 gold medals at the 33rd SEA Games

The Vietnamese taekwondo team has a goal of striving to win 3 championships in Thailand this year and currently many fighters have just returned home after training.

The Vietnamese taekwondo team ended the training program for the overseas competition on November 24.

Female fighters are trained in Korea, while male fighters are trained in Iran.

The squads of the above athletes are all key faces in preparation for the 33rd SEA Games. After returning home, all returned to training at training locations in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

However, the Vietnam Taekwondo Team still has a training program for the martial arts team in Korea to prepare for the 33rd SEA Games. The group of players is expected to return home on November 30.

At the 33rd SEA Games, the Vietnam Taekwondo Team aims to strive to win 3 gold medals. This is one of the difficult tasks because many athletes from Thailand, Philippines, Malaysia... are actively preparing for the 33rd SEA Games and they are predicted to be direct opponents of Vietnamese fighters.

With the competition, the Vietnam Taekwondo Team still has many familiar players preparing for the 33rd SEA Games such as Truong Thi Kim Tuyen, Tran Thi Anh Tuyet, Bac Thi Khiem, Ly Hong Phuc... The training session in Korea and Iran has brought many positive signals about the players' expertise.

Currently, the Vietnam Taekwondo Team has Korean experts (at the training center in Hanoi) and Iranian experts (at the training center in Ho Chi Minh City) who provide professional training for the combat fighters. The experience of these experts is assessed to help Vietnamese boxers confidently compete.

According to the manager's prediction, taekwondo can be one of the sports that won the first medals for the Vietnamese Sports Delegation at the 33rd SEA Games.
