The closing ceremony of the 2026 Asian Beach Games was organized briefly but still full of unique art programs, bearing the unique features of the host culture.
At the same time, the closing ceremony is an opportunity for sports delegations to parade through the main stage before returning home after the exciting competition in recent days.
At the Closing Ceremony of the 2026 Asian Beach Games, the President of the Asian Olympic Council (OCA) – Mr. Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani delivered a speech and highly appreciated the host country's organization in Sanya city (China).
In this competition, the host organizing committee conducted 62 official events of 14 sports (15 sub-sports).
The host Chinese sports delegation won the No. 1 position with a total of 24 gold medals, 18 silver medals, 13 bronze medals. The Thai sports delegation with 10 gold medals, 9 silver medals and 9 bronze medals ranked 2nd. The Iranian sports delegation held 3rd place (9 gold medals, 1 bronze medal).
The Vietnamese sports delegation won 4th place with 3 gold medals, 5 silver medals, 5 bronze medals. We only participated in 26 events at this Congress.
Also at the Closing Ceremony of the 2026 Asian Beach Games, representatives of the Asian Olympic Council – OCA awarded a souvenir flag to the host representative of the Philippines at the next Asian Beach Games. If nothing changes, the next Games will take place in Cebu City (Philippines) in 2028.
