More than 2 months of preparation
Coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet was given full authority by the Vietnam Volleyball Federation to develop a professional plan, a training program and make a list of players for the Vietnam Youth Women's Volleyball Team.
Mr. Kiet discussed: "At the training session of the Vietnam Youth Women's Volleyball Team, I proposed a list of 18 players. After the Vietnam Volleyball Federation and the Vietnam Department of Physical Education and Sports approved, I hope that all 18 players will participate in the training session to prepare professionally".
All young Vietnamese players have just participated in the 2025 National Youth Volleyball Championship in Tra Vinh. From the professional performance in the above tournament of each person, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet has made a list of 18 players with the best form.
They are considered the ones who can ensure professional will when the coaching staff of the Vietnam Youth Women's Volleyball Team officially training.
The 2025 U21 Women's Youth Volleyball World Cup will take place from August 7 to August 17 in Indonesia. In terms of time, players of the Vietnam Youth Women's Volleyball Team will have more than 2 months of training to prepare techniques, tactics and physical strength before participating in the above tournament.
The training with exercises was developed by Mr. Kiet and his colleagues to ensure the ultimate goal of the Vietnam Women's Volleyball Team having its own playing style.
Last year, after more than 5 years of interruption, the Vietnam Volleyball Federation and the Vietnam Department of Physical Education and Sports resumed training for the Vietnam Women's Volleyball Team.
The above focus is for us to participate in the 2024 U20 Asian Youth Women's Volleyball Championship. From the results of the above tournament, Vietnam has had a place to participate in the 2025 U21 Women's Youth Volleyball World Cup.
Vietnam Sports recorded for the first time a youth volleyball team winning an official spot to the world tournament.
Experts have noted that in the 2024 training cycle, the Vietnam Women's Volleyball Team is gradually forming its identity as a dedicated playing style, resolutely improving defensive ability.
Determined to make history
Coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet added that his priority for the 18 young players to focus on is improving their physical strength and will participate in the competition.
During the professional training period, the Vietnam Volleyball Federation approved the Vietnam Youth Women's Volleyball Team to participate in the VTV Cup 2025 International Women's Volleyball Tournament (July 2025 in Vinh Phuc).
After each training cycle, players will need to compete to improve their skills. When playing against international teams right at home, we hope that each young athlete will be more confident.
In 2024, thanks to the accumulated competition, our players played well at the 2024 Asian Youth Championship, said coach Nguyen Trong Linh ( joining the coaching staff of the Vietnam Youth Women's Volleyball Team in 2024.
At the 2024 U20 Asian Youth Women's Volleyball Tournament, Vietnam's young female hitters finished in 5th place overall. In that tournament, young players of Vietnamese volleyball took turns playing against opponents including U20 Thailand, U20 Iran, U20 China, U20 Kazakhstan, U20 India and U20 Taiwan (China).
Many young Vietnamese hitters participating in the above tournament when returning to their home team have made remarkable professional progress such as Pham Quynh Huong, Bui Thi Anh Thao, Nguyen Lan Vy, Nguyen Van Ha, Le Nhu Anh...
This year, Nguyen Tuan Kiet's 18-person personnel plan includes Do Thi Huyen, Pham Quynh Huong, Nguyen Lan Vy, Ngo Thu Hoai, Trinh Huynh Bao Ngoc, Le Nhu Anh, Nguyen Minh Thu, Le Thuy Linh, Quach Kim Luyen, Ngo Thi Bich Hue, Nguyen Thi Kieu Oanh, Pham Thuy Linh, Le Le Bach Hop, Nguyen Van Ha, Lai Thi Khanh Huyen, Pham Thi Khanh Lam, Ha Kieu Vy, Vo Thi Thao Nguyen.
"Winning a place in the world youth tournament is an extremely valuable thing for young Vietnamese volleyball players. As one of the teams participating in the tournament, we must certainly prepare most carefully to compete to achieve the expected results, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet added.
