New coach of Sanest Khanh Hoa
On December 11, a representative of the Khanh Hoa Province Sports Technical Training Center (the unit managing the Sanest Khanh Hoa volleyball team) said that former player Ngo Van Kieu has been appointed as the team's new head coach.
Coach Ngo Van Kieu has accepted the assignment and promised to work hard with the team to achieve good results in the upcoming competition seasons.
In 2024, former striker Ngo Van Kieu retired and switched to coaching. He was assigned to join the coaching staff of the Sanest Khanh Hoa men's team participating in the 2024 national championship and was one of the assistant coaches of former head coach Bui Quang Ngoc.
2025 Volleyball World Championship Seedings
The draw ceremony for the FIVB Women's World Championship 2025 will take place at 3:00 p.m. on December 17 in Bangkok (Thailand).
So, in just 1 week, the draw for the 2025 Women's Volleyball World Championship will officially take place. 32 teams will be divided into 8 groups with 4 teams each.
The organizing committee also released a list of 4 seed groups (1 country in this group will be in the same group with 3 other countries in the remaining 3 groups). The Vietnamese women's volleyball team is in group 4.
Group 1 includes Thailand (host), Italy, Brazil, USA, Türkiye, China, Poland, Japan. Group 2 includes Canada, Netherlands, Serbia, Germany, Belgium, Dominican Republic, Czech Republic, Puerto Rico.
Group 3 includes Argentina, Ukraine, France, Bulgaria, Colombia, Kenya, Cuba, Sweden. Group 4 includes Mexico, Slovenia, Cameroon, Slovakia, Greece, Spain, Vietnam, Egypt.
Australian youth team training in Vietnam
Currently, the youth teams of men and women from the Future Star volleyball training camp (Australia) have come to practice and compete in friendly matches in Vietnam.
With the guidance of coach Karl Lim and the coaching support of famous Thai setter Nootsara Tomkom, the youth men's and women's volleyball teams will train in Vietnam from December 9 to December 17.
Hanoi and Ninh Binh are the two training locations chosen by the team. In Hanoi, coach Karl Lim and his team will have 5 friendly matches with the Hanoi women's team, the Thong tin youth team and the The Cong men's team before moving to Ninh Binh on December 12.
