Women's volleyball team departs for the Philippines
According to the plan, members of the Vietnamese Women's Volleyball Team will have a flight to the Philippines late on June 3 to participate in the AVC Cup 2026.
Coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet and the coaching staff and 14 players were moved to play at the end of June 3. The movement was carried out according to the flight schedule that had been determined earlier.
When arriving in the Philippines, it is expected that the whole team will have 4 hours of travel in the Organizing Committee's car to the city of Candon (Philippines). This is the venue for the tournament.
Before going to the Philippines, the players of the Vietnamese Women's Volleyball Team had their last training session at Bac Ninh University of Physical Education and Sports. The coaching staff said that at present no players have been injured.
This year, AVC Cup 2026 has 12 participating teams. The Vietnamese women's volleyball team will hold a technical meeting with the Organizing Committee before the tournament kicks off to announce the official squad list for competition.
Expert Karl Lim arrived in the Philippines early
At AVC Cup 2026, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team added fitness expert Karl Lim and statistical data officer Hong Dang.
On the evening of June 2, these two members were moved early to the Philippines to grasp the venue for the tournament before welcoming the Vietnamese women's volleyball team.
According to shares, the organizing committee of the host Philippines has arranged a full gymnasium as well as a main gymnasium to ensure equipment meets standards.

According to the plan, after participating in the AVC Cup 2026, expert Karl Lim is expected to provide physical support for Vietnamese U18 women's players to participate in the AFC U18 Championship 2026 taking place in early July in Thailand.
Hoang Thi Kieu Trinh actively trains
Striker Hoang Thi Kieu Trinh is actively training with teammates at the Information Corps team. Kieu Trinh no longer practices separately with physical exercises and she started practicing with high intensity at the Information Corps team.
Due to injury, Hoang Thi Kieu Trinh has not been able to join the Vietnamese women's volleyball team to participate in the AVC Cup 2026 in the Philippines. However, in the past time, this player has not played officially.
Kieu Trinh has been absent from tournaments including Hoa Lu Cup 2026, Round 1 of the 2026 National Club Championship, Hung Vuong Cup 2026 and VTV9-Binh Dien Cup 2026.
