With a team of experienced athletes including Tran Thi Ngoc Yen, Nguyen Thi Yen, Nguyen Thi My and Nguyen Thi Ngoc Huyen, the Vietnamese team overwhelmed their opponents in both sets with scores of 15-7 and 15-6 respectively.
Continuing the excitement, the men's team entered the highly anticipated semi-final against host Thailand. The match was as dramatic as expected. In the first half, after falling behind 5-7, coach Tran Huynh Dat's students accelerated strongly to win 15-12.
In the second half, the Vietnamese team took a 13-8 lead and then 14-10, but Thailand rose up to equalize 16-16. At the decisive moment, Nguyen Van Ly made an accurate hook to help the home team win 17-16, ending the match with a final score of 2-0.
This year's World Cloud Championship took place in Songkhla province (Thailand), from July 22 to 28, gathering many strong teams in 6 events. The Vietnamese women's team is aiming for its third consecutive championship, while the men's team has the opportunity to win the championship for the first time when facing Malaysia in the final.
