Southeast Asian volleyball continues to award Vietnam a slot to organize a women's leg of the SEA V.League 2026 tournament.
The Vietnam Volleyball Federation will choose the official venue for this tournament next week. At this time, 3 gymnasiums with facilities to ensure the organization of Asian-level volleyball at Vietnamese locations have applied to host the tournament.
This year, we will be the host of the first leg of the SEA V.League 2026 tournament. Last year, Vietnam was the host of the 2nd leg of the SEA V.League 2025 tournament. The tournament was held at Ninh Binh provincial gymnasium, and the Vietnamese women's volleyball team won the championship.
The SEA V.League does not organize a final match. Participating teams will play in a round-robin format to select the team with the best results to award the championship cup. Currently, 4 women's volleyball teams from Southeast Asia, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, and the Philippines, regularly participate in the SEA V.League.
At the end of 2025, many sources said that Vietnam would be chosen as the venue for a stage of the men's event of the SEA V.League 2026 tournament.
However, Southeast Asian volleyball still gives us a slot to organize the women's event this year. In addition to Vietnam, the remaining leg of the women's event of the SEA V.League 2026 will take place in Thailand.
