Cao Bang - Thuc Phan Ward People's Committee has officially announced the demolition of the stadium to renovate it into a new space.

Due to the impact of storms No. 10 and No. 11, the old stadium of Cao Bang city was deeply flooded, covered with mud and garbage. The gate system and fences collapsed; stands A and B items were seriously degraded, at risk of collapsing, threatening the safety of people in the surrounding area.

Faced with the above situation, implementing the policy of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee, from November 16, the People's Committee of Thuc Phan Ward officially dismantled unsafe items, cleared the scene, and at the same time implemented a plan to renovate the stadium into a public living space, flower garden, trees, sports training area and Ho Chi Minh cultural space.

It is expected that a statue of Uncle Ho will be erected here - associated with the event of People visiting and talking to the people of Cao Bang in 2014.

On November 18, the reporter's records showed that machinery and workers had demolished most of the structure of the two stands A and B. Before that, the walls surrounding the stadium had collapsed, many sections had to be demolished to ensure safety. The yard surface was covered with mud and garbage after the flood.

Cao Bang City Stadium, located on Vuon Cam Street (Hop Giang Ward, now Thuc Phan Ward), is not only a sports facility but also a familiar cultural address for many generations of local people.

After the flood, the image of the devastated walls made many people feel heartbroken. The restoration and embellishment of this area is expected to contribute to preserving the historical memory of the border area.

At the same time, use support capital from the central budget to urgently dismantle degraded items and treat environmental sanitation.

The Provincial Party Committee also agreed on the research policy for the project to convert the stadium into a flower garden, park, and sports field combined with the function of storing and draining urban water.

Mr. Nguyen Huy Thien (Thuc Phan ward) - shared: "The stadium is a place where many big events are held, now that the dam has been demolished, people are also regretful, but if there is a new, more meaningful space, everyone is looking forward to it".
