Ensuring all policies are in accordance with regulations
Last weekend, Director of the Vietnam Department of Physical Education and Sports Nguyen Danh Hoang Viet worked with each department (Vietnam Department of Physical Education and Sports) to prepare for the 33rd SEA Games.
The viewpoint given by the sports industry manager is that all training centers that are managing athletes need to ensure proper nutrition and training facilities.
Currently, all members preparing for the 33rd SEA Games (including coaches and athletes) have enjoyed a special nutritional regime according to the regulations of the Ministry of Finance before attending the Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games) of 480,000 VND/person/day.
The issue of medicine and health care is also a point of special concern to many national sports teams. Regarding this, the leaders of the Vietnam Department of Physical Education and Sports carefully monitor health insurance so that no one experiences unfortunate incidents.
According to the actual records from the sports teams practicing at the National High-level Athletes Training Center (Hanoi), after each training phase, each athlete case is checked by staff from the Vietnam Sports Hospital and medical staff of the Center with specialized equipment to help recover their best physical condition.
The biggest problem of Vietnamese sports at the moment is that each national team does not have specialized medical staff to accompany them during the professional preparation period.
In the Draft Decree "Regulating policies for members of sports teams participating in training and competition" replacing Decree No. 152/2018/ND-CP dated November 7, 2018 of the Government, the sports industry has proposed new content on having more medical staff to participate in professional work.
This proposal was included in the Draft, and was advised by the Vietnam Department of Physical Education and Sports to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to promptly resolve the need to supplement medical personnel for national teams.
Federations and Associations will have "hot" bonuses
As of November 3, the Vietnam Sports Delegation participating in the 33rd SEA Games has not been established by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. In preparation, the Vietnam Olympic Committee has called on social resources to accompany the Vietnam Sports Delegation to participate in the 33rd SEA Games.
When summarizing social resources, the Vietnam Sports Delegation will announce "hot" bonuses (bonuses for competition results of medals as soon as they are achieved) to encourage the spirit of athletes.
However, at present, many National Sports Federations and Associations have begun to develop plans with "hot" bonuses for their national sports teams that have won medals at the 33rd SEA Games.
The Vietnam Taekwondo Federation soon announced the reward for medal achievements of 700 USD (more than 18 million VND) for 1 Gold Medal and 1 Silver Medal will be awarded 500 USD and 1 Bronze Medal will be awarded 300 USD. In addition to the results of the athletes, the taekwondo coaches also have a "hot" reward.
The Vietnam Volleyball Federation, the Vietnam Golf Association, the Vietnam Tennis Federation, the Vietnam Football Federation or a number of Federations and Sports Associations of sports are looking for socialized sources to ensure the reward level to encourage the spirit of coaches and athletes.
A representative of the Vietnam Volleyball Federation shared that the medal achievement award for Vietnam's men's and women's indoor and beach volleyball teams will be very encouraging at the upcoming 33rd SEA Games. However, the top requirement is that athletes must focus on competing to achieve the set performance goals.
