The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has issued a penalty for the fight that occurred in the match between Hanoi Police and Beijing Quoc An 2-2 in the opening match of Group E of the AFC Champions League Two 2025-2026, taking place on the evening of September 18 at Workers' Stadium (China).
According to the disciplinary decision, the Hanoi Police Club was fined 5,000 USD for allowing a player to participate in a fight on the field and failing to control his reaction during the stressful time at the end of the second half. This is a penalty for violations related to match order according to AFC regulations.
The incident occurred in the 80th minute when players from both teams collided after a ball dispute on the sidelines. The incident caused a match to be interrupted for about 30 seconds and forced the Thai referee team to consult to make decisions. referee Wiwat Jumpaoon gave the two teams 4 yellow cards, but no red cards were given.
