The Vietnam women's volleyball team ended the competition of the first phase of the 2025 SEA V.League in Nakhon Ratchasima (Thailand), on the evening of August 3. According to the schedule, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet and his team will leave Thailand and return home today (August 4).
When returning home, the players and coaching staff will be moved directly from Noi Bai airport (Hanoi) to Ninh Binh in the evening of the same day.
Phase 2 of the 2025 SEA V.League will be held at the Ninh Binh Provincial Gymnasium from August 8 to August 10. In addition to host Vietnam, the teams of Thailand, Indonesia, and the Philippines have a travel schedule to Ninh Binh to continue competing.
The local organizing committee in Ninh Binh informed Lao Dong that currently, preparations are ready, the field meets the professional requirements of Asian standards to serve the competing teams.
This year, the Organizing Committee of the SEA V.League has changed the organization method, with Thailand being the host of the first phase and Vietnam being the host of the second phase. The reason is that at the end of August, Thailand will host the 2025 Women's Volleyball World Championship, so they will be the host of the first phase of the 2025 SEA V.League.
At the end of the first phase, the Thai women's team won the championship with a prize of 16,000 USD. The Vietnam women's volleyball team has the runner-up position with a prize money of 13,000 USD. The Philippines team is in third place while Indonesia is in fourth place.
Vietnam is the host of the first phase of the SEA V.League in 2023 and 2024. We organized a competition in Vinh Phuc (Phu Tho) and attracted a large number of fans to cheer.
The SEA V.League does not organize a knockout competition but competes in a round-robin between teams to find the overall champion.
Before the second phase, the professional department of the Vietnam Volleyball Federation will install a Video Challenge Eyes system at the Ninh Binh Provincial Gymnasium to serve the refereeing for the tournament.
