The coaching staff of the Vietnamese boxing team has registered 2 athletes to compete in this year's tournament, Nguyen Huyen Tran and Pham Thi Quynh Anh.

The 2026 Asian Boxing Championship takes place from March 30 to April 10. The tournament attracts nearly 250 athletes from 25 teams in the continent to compete.

On March 30, the boxers are checked for weight according to their registered competition registrations, then draw lots to compete in each weight class and officially take the ring.

According to predictions, Nguyen Huyen Tran will compete in the women's 57kg weight class and Pham Quynh Anh will participate in the women's 48kg weight class. Both athletes are promising faces of young Vietnamese women's boxing.

In which, Nguyen Huyen Tran won a silver medal in the women's 57kg weight class at SEA Games 33 held in Thailand. At that time, she lost to opponent Punrawee Ruenros (Thailand) in the final.

Boxer Pham Thi Quynh Anh is a young athlete, who has accumulated expertise through a number of international tournaments of the Vietnamese boxing team.

The 2026 Asian Boxing Championship is the 2nd international competition program of the Vietnamese Boxing Team in the past month. Previously, we sent a force of 9 young boxers to participate in the World Boxing Future Cup 2026 in Thailand in mid-March to compete for tickets to participate in the 2026 Youth Olympics. The tournament was for U19 age group athletes.

The goal of the Vietnamese boxing team at the 2026 Asian Championship is to strive to compete and achieve the best results.
