On the afternoon of June 14, at the stadium of Dong Thap University, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) in coordination with relevant units organized the 2026 Youth Women's Football Festival within the framework of the FIFA Women's Football Campaign Program.
Attending the program were representatives of VFF, Dong Thap Football Federation, Dong Thap University and young coaches and players in the province.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Luu Quang Dien Bien - Head of the Department of Amateur Football and VFF member organizations said that the Youth Women's Football Festival is a playground to help girls have the opportunity to train, interact and develop skills, and at the same time contribute to spreading the positive values of sports such as team spirit, confidence and dynamic lifestyle.

Representatives of the Dong Thap Football Federation assessed this as a meaningful activity in promoting the women's football movement in the locality, while creating conditions for discovering and nurturing young talents.
On this occasion, VFF presented the participating teams with equipment for training and competition including balls, uniforms and some professional equipment.
After the opening ceremony, the teams entered the competition. This year's festival gathers 4 clubs including Cao Lanh, Tan Hong, Thuong Phuoc and Hong Ngu. Each club registers two teams to participate and is divided into two groups to compete.

The matches are exciting, creating opportunities for young players to interact, learn from experience and show professional competence. Many players show development potential through personal technique, coordination ability and fighting spirit.
At the end of the tournament, the Hong Ngu 1 team won the championship after defeating Thuong Phuoc 2 with a score of 3-0 in the final. The goals were scored by Vo Thi Ngoc Vy (2 goals) and Le Ngoc Tien. The two teams Cao Lanh 1 and Cao Lanh 2 tied for third place.
According to VFF, the Youth Women's Football Festival is one of the activities under the strategy for developing women's football of VFF and FIFA, aiming to expand the movement and create a source of young players for the future. According to the plan, the program will continue to be held in Vinh Long on June 15.
