Female athletes will not test by measuring testosterone but by giving a sample to analyze theSRY gene. If the sample is SRY positive for the gene, athletes are not allowed to compete in the women's category. In case an athlete with Dis Disorders of Sexual Development (DSD) has a body that produces high testosterone, this testosterone level will have to be lowered to meet the prescribed conditions.
