Launched in 2022, VBC has created an attractive playground for basketball clubs across the country, local basketball training centers, and is a launching pad to bring grassroots basketball closer to the professional competition model.
In the 2024 season, VBC witnessed the participation of more than 40 teams and more than 600 domestic and international athletes, attracting a large number of fans, affirming the attraction of the tournament.
Entering 2025, VBC officially kicked off with the round in Hanoi - Hanoi Basketball Championship 2025. The tournament will take place from March 9 to 20, at Cau Giay Stadium, organized by New Sports Joint Stock Company, under the supervision of the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports.
The tournament in Hanoi brings together 10 men's teams (ASA, scorpius, Chicken Dunk, Tsunami, PKKQ Army, Double Seven Team, Ba Dinh, Hanoi, 3F Galaxy, Hidden Dragons) and 5 women's teams (Chicken Dunk, Whales, Fudo, Dwarf, Basket Sags).
According to regulations, each team will have at least 2 U19 athletes in the squad, to help young talents have more opportunities to compete. In the women's event, the maximum number of professional athletes increased from 2 to 3, contributing to improving professional quality, promoting the development of Vietnamese women's basketball.
Entering the third season, VBC constantly innovates to bring a better experience to the audience. This year, the tournament strategically cooperated with Ticketbox to issue tickets, expanding the coverage of the tournament, providing an additional healthy and attractive entertainment option for young people.
The organizing committee still maintains the policy of issuing a limited number of free tickets, creating opportunities for all audiences to immerse themselves in the vibrant atmosphere of the tournament.
