On the afternoon of July 21, Mr. Nguyen Phuong Tuan - Director of Khanh Hoa Football Club - Khanh Viet Corporation Branch (Khatoco Khanh Hoa Club) confirmed that the unit is waiting for the opinion of the authorities on whether to terminate operations before the new season or not.
The leader of Khatoco Khanh Hoa Club informed that 33 players and coaching staff are currently in the contract termination stage. According to the plan, the club will re-sign the contract from August 1, 2025.
However, recently, the management unit, Khanh Viet Corporation, has just sent a document to the Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee requesting to terminate the operation of Khanh Hoa Football Club - Khanh Viet Corporation Branch.
Accordingly, in April 2025, to conduct local budget audits and local budget settlements in 2024 of Khanh Hoa province, the Auditing Team under the State Audit of Region VIII established a Minutes of Audit for dried financial statements at Khanh Viet Corporation - One-member LLC and a Minutes of audit for consolidated financial statements at Khanh Viet Corporation - One-member LLC.
The auditing team assessed that the policy of assigning Khanh Viet Corporation to carry out related procedures to take over and organize the management of Khanh Hoa Football Club, the parent company - Khanh Viet Corporation to establish a dependent accounting unit of Khanh Hoa Football Club outside the main business line is not in compliance with the orientation and direction of the Prime Minister in Clause 3, Article 1 of Decision No. 360/QD-TTg dated March 17, 2022.
At the same time, it is not in accordance with Clause 10, Article 4, Clause 1, Article 44 of the Law on Enterprises 2020; according to Clause 1, Article 7, Appendix to the Regulations on Professional Football (amended and supplemented in 2021) approved by Decision No. 76/QD-TCTDTT dated January 21, 2022 of the Department of Physical Education and Sports.
This content is also not included in the Project to restructure state-owned enterprises of Khanh Viet Corporation for the period 2021-2025; not ensuring regulations, business results are at a loss, greatly affecting the overall efficiency of production and business activities of enterprises.
On this basis, Khanh Viet Corporation proposed that Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee direct the termination of the operation of Khanh Hoa Football Club - Khanh Viet Corporation Branch, socialize football club activities, and select other sponsoring units to promptly take over the team to participate in the new 2025-2026 season.
According to the leader of Khanh Hoa Football Club - Khanh Viet Corporation Branch, the unit was established under the direction of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee from September 2024.
After taking over the team, the unit has gradually stabilized the players' ideology and life. Khanh Hoa Football Club - Khanh Viet Corporation Branch has signed contracts with 33 employees, ensuring full policies for employees and players.
Through the season, the problems related to Khanh Hoa football team have been resolved. Khatoco Khanh Hoa football team had impressive results in the last season. The football team has an investment of about 20 billion VND.
