The tournament is organized within the framework of the Red Flamboyant Flower Festival - Hai Phong 2026, and also aims to celebrate the 136th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2026) and spread the campaign "All people practice physical exercise following the example of the great Uncle Ho".
Not only is it a large-scale mass sports event, this year's race is also oriented according to the message "Run fast - Live green", combining sports activities and raising community awareness about environmental protection and climate change adaptation.

Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister Le Tien Chau directly attended and participated in the race with the athletes. The appearance of the Government leader is seen as a strong message calling on the sports community nationwide to move towards the goal of net zero emissions by 2050 as committed by the Vietnamese Government.
From early morning, the roads around Vu Yen island have attracted a large number of athletes to compete. The success of the tournament is the companionship of many strategic partners, including 2 gold sponsors, Thai An Holdings Group and Thai An EcoMotion.

In the 42km women's marathon event, Pham Thi Hong Le finished first. Hoang Huong Thuy and Le Minh Tuan finished in the next two positions respectively. Meanwhile, Huynh Anh Khoi continued to show stable form when winning the 42km men's event, surpassing Le Van Huong and Vu Trong Long.

In addition to professional content, many athletes also participate in garbage collection activities on the track to respond to the spirit of "Sport for climate" and "Art for climate". According to the organizers, this is the overarching orientation of the tournament to link sports activities with community responsibility and environmental protection.
Mr. Nguyen Khoa Truong, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Thai An Holdings Group, said: "Marathon is not simply a sport about speed or achievement. Through the spirit of'Sports for the climate' and'Art for the climate', more than 8,000 athletes have inspired the community to practice sports more regularly and take specific actions to protect the environment.
According to Mr. Truong, each step not only aims for personal goals but also contributes to spreading the message of green lifestyle and sustainable development.

The organizers assessed that Hai Phong Legacy Marathon 2026 has created its own mark by combining sports, promoting the local image and environmental activities.
