Coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet shared right after the match with the Kenyan team: The Vietnamese women's volleyball team unfortunately lost. In the most important match against the Kenyan team, the team did not play to the best of their ability. All of our stages are not doing well in terms of expertise".
We know that the Kenyan team plays with professional improvisation but full of strength. Today, the Vietnamese players did not catch the rhythm well. The blocking line and positions are not professional, so let the opposing team be excited.
A team that plays very improvised and has a good fighting spirit like Kenya will find it difficult to defend. I think the Vietnamese players did not start well, so the loss was worth it, said coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet.
The captain of the Vietnam Women's Volleyball Team added: "We look at it directly as if we want to participate in the World Championship, at least the Vietnam Women's Team must be in the top 3 of the Asian Championship. This is not easy.
I think the players after this tournament will look back at themselves. The coaching staff also looked back to see what had to be changed and overcome. This playground is very harsh. In addition to the factor of courage, spirit always needs stability in all aspects

Meanwhile, head coach Geoffrey Omondi Onyango (Kenya) shared the reason for the victory: The lesson we learn from this playground is that everything can happen. We just need to focus on competing to be able to win important matches. Our players play confidently to achieve professional results".
The FIVB Volleyball World Federation updated the world rankings right after the match. The Vietnam women's volleyball team fell behind the rankings, down to 28th place. The Kenyan women's team has increased four places, to 21st place in the world.
Previously, the Kenyan women's team trained in Vietnam at Dong Anh Stadium (Hanoi) to participate in the World Championship. At this stage, the Vietnam team played a friendly match and won 4-0 against the Kenyan team.
This is the first time the Vietnam Women's Volleyball Team has won a place in the World Championship while the Kenyan women's team has participated seven times.
The Vietnam women's volleyball team will return home on August 28.
