On the afternoon of September 21, U17 Vietnam entered the second training session in the gathering to prepare for the 2026 U17 World Cup finals at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center.
In this gathering, coach Cristiano Roland continues to build a squad based on a framework of many players who have participated in the 2026 AFC U17 Championship finals. Having time to play and train together helps players maintain connection in their playing style, while creating favorable conditions for the coaching staff to deploy tactical requirements.
In the first training sessions, U17 Vietnam focused on consolidating the physical foundation, while reviewing and improving tactical operation capabilities. The coaching staff also focused on coordination between the lines and the ability to adapt to different plans in competition.

Besides the core group of players, 7 newly called faces are gradually integrating into the team. These players are given the opportunity to fully participate in professional exercises, thereby getting acquainted with the tactical requirements and training pace of the team.
The gathering also helps coach Cristiano Roland continue to review the force, assess the form and ability to meet the professional requirements of each player. This is the basis for the Brazilian strategist to gradually shape the squad to prepare for the world youth tournament.
According to the plan, U17 Vietnam will maintain a training intensity of 2 sessions/day at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center in the near future. The team is expected to have 2 overseas training sessions before going to Qatar to participate in the U17 World Cup 2026 finals.
In which, the second training camp will be held in a country in West Asia. After this preparation phase, U17 Vietnam will move to Qatar to enter the journey at the 2026 U17 World Cup.
