This year, the 2026 National Youth Athletics Championship is held at Thai Nguyen Stadium.
The organizers assess that with good facilities quality, this year's tournament will bring attractive competitions.
The organizers included in the competition medal sets for individual men and women and relay in the U12, U14, U16, U18 age groups in this year's tournament.
The tournament attracted 36 participating units including An Giang, Bac Ninh, Ca Mau, Cao Bang, People's Police, Dak Lak, Dien Bien, Dong Nai, Dong Thap, Gia Lai, Ha Tinh, Hung Yen, Khanh Hoa, Lai Chau, Lang Son, Lao Cai, Lam Dong, Ninh Binh, Nghe An, Phu Tho, Quang Ninh, Quang Ngai, Quang Tri, Army, Son La, Tay Ninh, Can Tho, Da Nang, Hanoi, Hai Phong, Ho Chi Minh City, Hue, Tuyen Quang, Thanh Hoa, Vinh Long and Thai Nguyen (hosts).
More than 700 athletes will be registered to compete. The professional department of the Organizing Committee held a technical meeting with all delegations on June 7 before the official opening events on June 8.
This year, the tournament will take place from June 8 to June 15. According to the announcement, athletes who surpass the record in their age group events will be recognized as a national youth record in accordance with regulations.
With the nature of competing for high achievements, the players of the Vietnamese Youth Athletics Team of the age group participating in the tournament are given conditions to compete in Thai Nguyen this year.
