Director of the Department of Physical Education and Sports of Vietnam, Mr. Nguyen Danh Hoang Viet, said that career guidance for Vietnamese athletes is necessary for those who have prepared or completed their competitive careers to find a suitable job to develop their lives.
Previously, at the Workshop to collect opinions on the Draft Decree to replace Decree No. 152/2018/ND-CP dated November 7, 2018 of the Government, the content of the policy mechanism for athletes after the competition was thoroughly discussed by experts to collect opinions. In particular, special policies create conditions for athletes to have jobs after retirement, and the sports industry and related units build a coordination mechanism for implementation.
The introduction of special policies for athletes is a breakthrough, expanding the scope of treatment for athletes in Vietnamese sports, Mr. Nguyen Danh Hoang Viet shared at the Workshop on career guidance for Vietnamese sports athletes.
The workshop on career guidance for Vietnamese sports athletes attracted 100 coaches and athletes to attend. In the discussion topics, many once-in-a-lifetime faces such as Luu Thi Thanh (cloud bridge), Pham Phuoc Hung (physical education and equipment), Nguyen Thi Le Dung ( swordplaying) shared their careers at the end of the competition.
