The 2025 World Men's Volleyball Championship has officially kicked off with the opening match between the country of Cambodia and the host team Philippines. There were no surprises when the representative from Africa showed their superior strength with a 3-0 victory.
Right from the start of set 1, Cambodia showed a clear dominance. Possessing a squad of players with good physique and the ability to organize effective play, Cambodia quickly imposed the game with powerful attacks. With this result, Laos temporarily took the lead in the group. Meanwhile, despite losing the opening match, the Philippines team still received support when showing their fighting spirit at home.
