In his opening speech, Mr. Le Quoc Minh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, President of the Vietnam Journalists Association, Head of the Award Steering Committee said: "This year's tournament promises to have high professional quality and competition because there are enough national players who have just gone through a long training and competition process abroad with young athletes who have just achieved high results at the 2025 Southeast Asian Youth Championship. In addition, there are many new table tennis teams.
This shows the increasingly widespread development of Vietnamese table tennis, the strong rise of young athletes and the improvement of famous athletes, promising many surprises and spectacular changes of position".

This is the second time - since 2012 - the national table tennis championship has been held in Da Nang. The tournament also set a record for the largest number of athletes ever.
205 athletes from 22 professional table tennis teams from provinces, cities, sectors and enterprises nationwide, including strong table tennis centers such as Hanoi, Hai Duong, Ho Chi Minh City, Khanh Hoa, the Army, People's Public Security T&T... will compete.

At the ceremony, representatives of the athletes swore to compete in an objective, honest, and selfless spirit; and to strive for the overall success of the tournament.
The representative of the arbitration force at the prize will manage the matches in the spirit of objective, honest, carefree, and managed in accordance with the law for the overall success of the tournament and the development of Vietnam table tennis.
The delegates also presented the tournament's medals and souvenir flags to the athlete delegations and referees to encourage and cheer them on.

The prize value for the titles of this year's tournament continues to be maintained at a high level with a total value of 500 million VND. This contributes to encouraging and attracting athletes who are passionate about practicing, competing and staying with table tennis for a long time.
