Social networks jokingly call it "Summer vacation" and "Retirement" to talk about the days when students were temporarily away from school, while their grandparents and maternal grandparents were "reluctant nannies" when entering the summer. But in addition to the laughter, the crying and laughing situations, sometimes people have to witness more tragic accidents because children have no place to play, no one to guide them, and no minimum survival skills.
Not right now, but for many years, children's playgrounds have been a luxury in the city. The park is not "comfortable" as it means, sidewalks become places to do business, vacant land becomes parking lots, high-rise buildings are being built more and more. Therefore, children who want to play football must contribute money to rent a court. To swim, you have to pay for tuition. Even places that are enough to play badminton in the neighborhood are not given priority.
In short, to play sports, you must have conditions... So many families have no other choice but to let their children play with phones, TV, and electronic games at home. There are also certain benefits, but it is clearly not enough to cover a wide area in the "summer vacation block". The internet environment, social networks are full of danger, full of "noiseless traps" penetrating every second, every minute for the souls that are still immature, not knowing what is really necessary.
There are still talent classes, sports centers, and summer clubs, but not enough for demand, cheap costs, and uncontrollable quality. The "Summer activity" was once the "soul" of activities of children of previous generations, but now it is blurred, disjointed, and not attractive enough.
We are interested in top-notch sports, international achievements, and forget that the foundation begins with children running, dancing, and playing crab. When there is no true playground, a part of my childhood is stolen. When school sports are still struggling, high-performance sports are difficult to sustain.
Many specific and strong actions will be needed to re-plan public playgrounds, invest in community sports centers, and develop school sports movements. Because the summer gap, if not filled with love and action, the future of children will be covered by more risks than benefits.
