On December 30, in Hanoi, the press conference of the first pickleball tournament for golfers and families - Gopick Championship Phale Cup 2025 took place.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Mai Lam - Deputy General Director of Pha Le Group, Chairman of the tournament - said: "We wish to become an enterprise that protects the environment, is socially responsible and has good governance. In the group's annual activities, we always focus on human development and developing sports activities.
The Gopick Championship pickleball tournament is a new playground for the golfer community, a place for golfers to exchange experiences in other sports other than the golf they are competing in. Hopefully the tournament will be welcomed by many people."
Gopick Championship 2025 will take place on January 5, 2025 at the People's Public Security Sports Training Center (Nguyen Xien, Hanoi).
This tournament is exclusively for golfers with VGA codes on the national Handicap system.
The tournament includes 3 competitions: women's doubles level 4.5 (32 pairs), men's doubles level 5.3 (48 pairs) and men's doubles level 6.1 (32 pairs).
In the men's category, both players must be golfers with a current VGA code. Each golfer participating in the tournament can register a pair of female players who are their spouses or children.
The tournament does not accept athletes who are grandmasters, professional competitors or national winners of pickleball, tennis...
The competition format is divided into groups, playing a round robin to select pairs for the quarterfinals, semi-finals, and finals.
