Pickleball has " added to the bad reputation", with the story of a group of cadres, civil servants, employees, even local leaders, avoiding work, studying, "stealing time" to play. Using the expression "addicted" is a bit too much, but it is not easy to choose any other word with a lower level for people who play pickleball for a few hours a day.
They may not be office workers but have free time, but there are also stories - the consequences are more accurate, affecting family life. And from a personal perspective, when not understanding that playing too much sports is not good. Passion leads to "addiction" and comes with obvious negative health and social consequences.
Playing sports to stay healthy, but not properly, injuries increase rapidly. Medical documents and clinical reports in recent years clearly show this trend (from the world to Vietnam), with the number of pickleball-related injuries increasing, especially in the group of older adults who play enthusiastically without preparation.
Then play sports to stay healthy, to lose weight, lose weight, but it helps but it is tired, the muscles are paralyzed, the face is sagging, and the mentality is haunted. Studies on over-exercise syndrome show that the psychological consequences can last monthly, even annually, if not intervened promptly.
Another factor that is less mentioned is image culture. When sports became fashion, people followed their outfits, tools and social status. That causes some people to invest too much, forcing themselves to be present and compete continuously.
So what is the solution?Of course, agencies and units will take action to adjust, but basically it still comes from the awareness of each player.Passion does not mean Regardlessness, but must have limitations in intelligence, must go with knowledge, limitations in the work environment, ethics and know how to listen to the body.Otherwise, the sport of life will become an addiction that destroys our lives.
Sports are only really good when they are placed within a healthy limit.
