Nguyen Anh Minh has not returned to Vietnam after winning the 2025 Junior Amateur Championship.
Vietnamese golfers will continue to compete in the Western Amateur Championship 2025 from July 29 to August 2 (local time) right after the 2025 US Youth Golf Championship. In this tournament, Nguyen Anh Minh will compete with his teammate Le Khanh Hung.
Currently, Nguyen Anh Minh and Le Khanh Hung are players of the Vietnam Golf Team. Experts are hoping that both will participate in the 33rd SEA Games at the end of this year. Khanh Hung is the current champion of the men's individual SEA Games after winning the gold medal in 2023 in Cambodia while Anh Minh has a bronze medal in the event.
The Western Amateur Championship 2025 golf tournament attracted 156 athletes from many countries and territories around the world to participate. According to the regulations, golfers compete with sticks in the first 18 lakes. After that, 44 people with the best results passed the first qualifying round to compete in the 36-hole competition. From there, the 16 best golfers were selected to participate in the direct competition round to find the champion.
After the 2025 US Youth Golf Championship, Nguyen Anh Minh answered the media that his goal in the future is to find opportunities to participate in the PGA Tour tournament system, especially major tournaments.
The runner-up position in the 2025 US Youth Golf Championship is not enough to help Nguyen Anh Minh get a place in the prestigious US Open professional tournament of US golf.
