At the age of 41, Pham Thi Yen is still a name that many volleyball fans mention, not only because of her mark of a time on the field but also thanks to her youthful and radiant beauty over the years.
The former Miss Volleyball Vietnam still maintains a harmonious appearance, bright, younger face than her age and healthy demeanor. In everyday photos or when appearing at sports events, Pham Thi Yen always attracts attention with her confident, simple but attractive demeanor, far from thinking about the "professional age" of retired athletes.
Besides appearance, a fulfilling married life also contributes to creating a complete image of Pham Thi Yen in the present. In mid-2025, she got married to her husband Dang Duc Chung - a police officer. Although married late compared to many comrades of the same period, Pham Thi Yen showed maturity and peace in her own choices.
Her husband regularly follows and cheers for his wife in professional activities, and Pham Thi Yen also appears with her husband at important events as well as cares from the smallest gestures.
Recently, Pham Thi Yen also became attached to pickleball. Maintaining regular sports helps her maintain a slim, healthy figure.
At the peak of her career, Pham Thi Yen was a symbol of Vietnamese women's volleyball in the period 2005-2015. She and Bui Thi Hue created a formidable attacking duo of the national team.
In 17 years of professional competition, Pham Thi Yen won 11 national championships in the colors of a single club, Binh Chung Thong Tin, 2 times won the title of beauty queen at international tournaments, along with many personal achievements and regional medals.
Since 2016, Pham Thi Yen has switched to coaching, currently being the deputy coach of the Binh Chung Thong Tin women's volleyball team. Although she no longer plays, she still maintains a dynamic lifestyle and continues to inspire the younger generation.
