According to Lao Dong reporters' investigation, Deputy Director of the Vietnam Sports Administration, Mr. Nguyen Hong Minh is expected by leaders to be assigned the task of Head of the Vietnamese Sports Delegation competing in ASIAD 20.
Mr. Nguyen Hong Minh is a person with a lot of experience in management as well as in charge of the field of high-performance sports of the Vietnam Department of Physical Education and Sports.
Last year, Mr. Nguyen Hong Minh took on the role of Head of the Vietnamese Sports Delegation to compete in SEA Games 33 in Thailand.
The host Japanese organizers of ASIAD 20 announced the 43 official sports (71 sub-sports) of this Games, including: Aquatics (swimming, artistic swimming, bridge jumping, water polo), archery, athletics, badminton, softball baseball, basketball, boxing, breaking jumping, canoeing, sparring martial arts (jujitsu, kurash, MMA), cricket (T20), cycling, horse racing, e-sports, fencing, football, golf, gymnastics, handball, hockey, judo, kabaddi, karate, 5 modern sports – pentathlon, rowing, rugby (7 people), sailing, sepak takraw, shooting, skateboarding, mountain climbing, squash, surfing, table tennis, taekwondo, tennis, volleyball, weightlifting, wrestling, wushu, padel, teqball.
ASIAD 20 is officially held from September 19 to October 4.
When the Vietnamese Sports Delegation is established, the plan to go to Japan to participate in competitions of national sports teams will be implemented based on a specific schedule.
At ASIAD 20, Vietnamese sports will aim to win from 4 to 6 gold medals and be in the top 20 countries with the highest achievements.
