The event is co-organized by the Vietnam Department of Physical Education and Sports, VTC Multimedia Corporation and the Vietnam Electronic Sports and Entertainment Association (VIRESA).
According to the organizers, the goal is to expand the space of Esports from professional tournaments to the fields of culture, entertainment and creative industry.
In the gala night, the organizers awarded medals to international athlete delegations participating in the tournament, and also honored the champions in the events that had completed the competition.
Player Bell (Thailand) won the Street Fighter 6 championship, WisadelxT topped the Epic Seven category, while the MHK team won at Au Mobile. Some other contents will be announced after completing the final matches.
The art program is also the highlight of the event with the participation of singer Trang Phap. The performances are staged in combination with music, lighting effects and stage technology, creating a performance space for the Esports fan community.
In addition to professional matches, The Grand Esports 2026 also organizes the Grand Esports Festival with many experiential activities. The cosplay space gathers familiar faces such as Haruko, Trang Annie and Vu Hai Yen (Týt), and also takes place the King & Queen Cosplay contest for the community that loves the art of character transformation.
The event also featured Leslie Gilliams, a chef who participated in MasterChef US and is known to the Vietnamese online community as "The Liems".
According to the organizers, the Esports+ model will continue to be developed in the following seasons, aiming to build an ecosystem connecting e-sports with culture, technology and digital economy, and at the same time make The Grand Esports a large-scale annual event of the Vietnamese Esports community.
