Vietnamese sports choose 2 players to hold the flag at the Asian Beach Games

The Vietnamese sports delegation has identified 2 athletes to be assigned to hold the flag at the Opening Ceremony of the 2026 Asian Beach Games.

According to the selection, 1 male player from the beach teqball team and 1 female player from the beach handball team will be the flag bearers at the Opening Ceremony of the 2026 Asian Beach Games.

Leaders of the Vietnamese Sports Delegation assigned player Ba Truong Giang (beachback) and Lu Ngoc Trinh (women's beach handball) to take on the above responsibility.

The Vietnamese sports delegation will participate in the 2026 Asian Beach Games in China with 90 members (including 54 athletes). The members will successively depart from April 20. However, the women's beach handball team has arrived early at the Games on April 18 to ensure competition according to the schedule.

The 2026 Asian Beach Games opened on the 22nd. 4. Closing ceremony took place on the 30th. 4. The Games competed in 14 sports (15 categories) including 3x3 basketball, open water swimming, water polo, aquaathlon, beach athletics, beach handball, kabaddi, beach soccer, beach volleyball, beach wrestling, traditional boat racing, jujitsu, sailing, mountain climbing sports, beach teqball.

Vietnamese sports participate in 8 sports including beach handball, jujitsu, beach wrestling, traditional boat racing, open water swimming, beach athletics, sailing, and beach teqball.

The Head of the Vietnamese Sports Delegation at this Congress is Mr. Le Thanh Ha - Deputy Head of the High-Performance Sports Department, Vietnam Sports Administration.
