The Asian Olympic Council (OCA) has announced the registration time for the list of coaches and athletes for the 2026 Asian Beach Games to the National Olympic Committees.
February 10th is the deadline for countries to register with the Organizing Committee. This year, the Congress is resumed with a competition venue in Sanya city (China) from April 22nd to 30th.
The Vietnam Department of Physical Education and Sports and the Vietnam Olympic Committee are developing a plan to send forces to participate in the Games. This is 1 of 4 important international sports Games that Vietnam aims to participate in this year.
According to OCA's announcement, the 2026 Asian Beach Games will compete in 14 sports (15 sports, sub-sports) with a total of 63 official events.
The organizing committee announced that the sports and sub-subjects that will take place include water sports (open water swimming: 3 events; water polo: 2 events), basketball (3x3, 2 events), beach athletics (10), traditional boat racing (6), beach soccer (2), handball (2), jujitsu (6), kabaddi (2), sailing (8), mountain climbing (4), teqball (3), triathlon (aquaathlon competition, 3), beach volleyball (2) and beach wrestling (8).
This Congress once developed a plan to hold in 2020 but had to change due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Currently, the organizing committee of the host country China said that the preparation of facilities for the competition will ensure that coaches and athletes of Asian delegations participate in the competition.
