If there is a new truth, then there will be a belief
The Vietnam Volleyball Federation (VFV) officially announced the 2025 National Volleyball Championship on February 13 in Hanoi with a new sponsor, Ca Mau Fertilizer. After many years, the National Volleyball Championship system has returned to work with units in the oil and gas industry to find the most complete funding resources.
Three times participating in the National Volleyball Championship 2022, 2023, 2024 (sponsored by Duc Giang Chemical Group), players and teams witnessed the superiority in prize money in which each team won the championship (men's and women's) received 500 million VND. In terms of bonuses in national sports tournaments in Vietnam at present, volleyball is currently second only to football.
Having issued large bonuses in each season, when Duc Giang Chemical Group ends the contract, the Vietnam Volleyball Federation must make efforts to find resources to ensure the next prize fund for the 2025 National Volleyball Championship. The total prize of this year's tournament is 2 billion 280 million VND.
The bonus will directly affect the tournament's expertise. If the prize is low, the professional quality of the tournament will not be guaranteed to be the highest. The number of teams in the National Volleyball Championship has decreased gradually over the past 3 seasons to stabilize to the current 8 men's and 8 women's.
In 2022, the National Volleyball Championship will have 11 men's teams and 11 women's teams participating; in 2023, the number of teams is 10 men's and 10 women's; in 2024, the number of teams is 9 men's and 9 women's.
The assessment from the professional unit of the Vietnam Volleyball Federation that the number of teams (men's and women's) from 2025 will be stable and the bonus fund will remain the same or may increase in the following years will help the teams benefit more than in previous years.
Belief in longevity
The organization of the National Volleyball Championship was awarded to the Vietnam Volleyball Federation. The volleyball department (Department of Physical Education and Sports) is the unit that develops the competition organization plan, coordinating with the Vietnam Volleyball Federation to implement it. If the State management agency organizes the tournament, according to regulations, there will be no cash bonus for the team with the achievement. The recognition is medals along with flags and trophies. The bonus for coaches and athletes who achieve results in the national championship is paid by the host unit according to the regulations of each locality, province and industry.
In practice, in the National Volleyball Championship, the Vietnam Volleyball Federation is organizing a tournament, so there are sufficient mechanisms and responsibilities to find social funding sources.
Since the National Strong Team Volleyball Tournament was renamed the National Volleyball Championship in 2004, the Vietnam Volleyball Federation has always invited sponsors to participate. The representative of Ca Mau Fertilizer affirmed that after years of accompanying the Vietnam Volleyball Federation, there will be an evaluation of the results, thereby continuing to discuss to best accompany the Volleyball Tournaments in Vietnam.
General Secretary of the Vietnam Volleyball Federation - Mr. Le Tri Truong - expressed that the Organizing Committee of the National Volleyball Championship and the Vietnam Volleyball Federation always hope that sponsors of all tournaments will cooperate with each other for long-term sustainability and mutual development. The National Volleyball Championship in Vietnam is having positive reviews about the organization.
The tournament reached an agreement with the television unit to produce and broadcast live the entire match at the tournament to fans. With sponsors and live broadcasts, these are 2 conditions to recognize the actual value that the Vietnam Volleyball Federation has built for the National Volleyball Championship.
