The coaching staff of the Vietnamese weightlifting team revealed that in the training list in China, we have promising faces who achieved good results, athletes K'Duong and Quang Thi Tam.
ASIAD 20 weightlifting allows each country to register a maximum of 10 athletes to compete (5 male weightlifters, 5 female weightlifters).
Each athlete is only allowed to compete in 1 weight class. Each country has only 1 athlete in 1 weight class.
At ASIAD 20 this time, 16 events will be organized, including 49kg, 53kg, 57kg, 61kg, 69kg, 77kg, 86kg and over 86kg (women); 60kg, 65kg, 70kg, 75kg, 85kg, 95kg, 110kg and over 110kg (men).
The Vietnamese weightlifting team will consider the force to register to ensure compliance with regulations at ASIAD 20.
At ASIAD 19 held in Hangzhou (China), the Vietnamese weightlifting team did not win a medal.
In many previous ASIAD participations, Vietnamese sports only had the best result in weightlifting, which was a silver medal. We have never won a gold medal in weightlifting at ASIAD.
