The tournament is hosted by the Vietnam Tennis Federation (VTF) under the authority of the International Tennis Federation (ITF). The matches will take place from November 10 to 15, at NovaWorld Phan Thiet Sports Complex, Lam Dong.
On the morning of November 10, the tournament's opening ceremony took place in a solemn and exciting atmosphere, with the participation of 35 excellent female athletes from 7 countries, including Laos, Maldives, Guam, Brunei, Bahrain, Jordan and host country Vietnam.
This is the second consecutive time in 2025, Vietnam has been trusted by the ITF to host a regional team tennis event, after the success of the Davis Cup Group III - Asia region/ococtics tournament held last July. The consecutive selection as a destination for prestigious international tournaments has affirmed VTF's reputation and professional organizing capacity.
Before that, the draw ceremony took place. As a result, the Vietnamese women's tennis team is in Group A with the Maldives and Bahrain teams. Meanwhile, Group B is a fierce competition between Laos, Guam, Brunei and Jordan.
According to the latest ITF rankings, the Vietnamese women's tennis team is ranked 98th in the world, the highest ranked team among the 7 participating teams. The team is ranked above Laos (ranked 99), Maldives (102), Guam (110), Brunei (118), Bahrain (128) and Jordan (139).

In this year's tournament, only one team will qualify for promotion to Group II in 2026, while the remaining teams will continue to compete in Group III next year. With home matches and being rated higher, the Vietnamese women's tennis team has many opportunities to be promoted.
Participating in this tournament, the Billie Jean King Cup Vietnam team includes players: Nguyen Thi Mai Linh (Hanoi), Ngo Hong Hanh (Army), Phan Diem Quynh (Army), Dang Thi Hanh (Hai Phong), Vu Khanh Phuong (Army).
With youth, determination and desire to compete for the national flag, Vietnamese women's tennis players are expected to bring impressive performances, affirming the bravery and position of Vietnamese tennis in the regional arena.
Billie Jean King Cup (formerly Fed Cup) is the most prestigious women's team tournament in the world organized by the ITF, similar to the Davis Cup in the men's event. The tournament brings together national teams from around the world, competing in a promotion system through regional groups.
Vietnam hosting the Billie Jean King Cup is not only an important step in the international integration journey of Vietnamese tennis, but also an opportunity to promote the image of the friendly, dynamic and hospitable country and people of Vietnam to international friends.
