On July 17, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Vu - Vice President of VFF, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Hoi - Standing Member of VFF, Mr. Nguyen Van Phu - General Secretary of VFF visited and encouraged female player Nguyen Thi Tuyet Ngan (member of Ho Chi Minh City Women's Football Club) who is currently focusing on the Vietnam women's team to prepare for the 2025 Southeast Asian Women's Football Championship, taking place from August 6.
During the concentration, Tuyet Ngan suffered from acute appendicitis and was treated promptly. After surgery, the player born in 2000 was discharged from the hospital and is being monitored by the team's doctors at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center. If her health improves smoothly, Tuyet Ngan can return in time to participate in the tournament with the whole team.
Visiting and encouraging Tuyet Ngan, VFF leaders acknowledged her spirit of overcoming difficulties, her desire to compete and her contributions to Vietnamese women's football, and at the same time sent wishes for her to recover soon to return to the field as soon as possible.
Nguyen Thi Tuyet Ngan is one of the potential young players of Vietnamese women's football. In 2024, she won the Silver Ball award thanks to her excellent performance in the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club jersey - the first representative of Vietnam to participate in the AFC Women's Champions League and advance to the semi-finals.
