At the 2025 World Games, Vietnamese athletes will strive to compete for high achievements and will be rewarded according to the prescribed regime.
We will compete in the 2025 World Games from August 7 to August 17 in Chengdu (China). Vietnamese sports include 7 sports including kickboxing, billiards, iron balls, beach throwing, aerobic exercise, kickboxing and muay. Vietnamese athletes will go to China to attend the Games from August 5.
The World Games are a world-level sporting event, organized by international sports federations in coordination with host countries every 4 years. This event does not coincide with the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Summer Olympics.
Athletes are given official attendance based on the results of the international competition that is considered a qualifying round for the World Games.
Vietnam Sports currently applies a competitive achievement reward regime according to Decree 152/2018/ND-CP stipulating a number of regimes for coaches and athletes during the time of training and competition.
The results of the achievements of Vietnamese sports coaches and athletes at the World Games will be awarded according to the V level regime for the "Other World-Scale Sports Festival" in Decree 152/2018/ND-CP.
Athletes who win 1 gold medal will be awarded 70 million VND, 1 silver medal is 40 million VND, 1 bronze medal is 30 million VND. If they break a World Games record, athletes will receive an additional prize of 30 million VND.
In addition, coaches who directly train athletes in the national team and local coaches who have trained athletes will receive bonuses with the prescribed percentage levels based on the medal achievements of the athlete.
The World Games have been held 11 times before. The 2025 World Games is the 12th Games. At the 11th World Games, we won 2 gold medals (Duong Thuy Vi - wushu, Nguyen Tran Duy Nhat - muay).
