Vietnam Sports will not have a sports delegation to participate in the 2025 World Games, which will be competed in Chengdu (China) from August 7 to August 17. Each national sports team will develop a competition plan according to the schedule prescribed by the Organizing Committee.
According to Lao Dong, the Vietnam jujitsu Team has withdrawn from the 2025 World Games. We were awarded an official license by the Organizing Committee of the Congress for jujitsu to martial artist Nguyen Thi Minh Vuong (Fighting event, women's 57kg weight class).
Through the preparation process and professional forecasting, the coaching staff of the Vietnam jujitsu Team found that it was difficult for Vietnamese players to compete for medal results. Therefore, Minh Vuong did not register to participate in the 2025 World Games and she was prepared for other international missions.
Previously, Vietnamese sports received tickets to the 2025 World Games in wushu, kickboxing, muay, beach throwing, iron billiards, billiards, aerobics and jujitsu. When the jujitsu team is not present, we only register 7 members of the team to participate in the Congress.
In the most recent time participating in the World Games in 2023, Vietnamese sports won 2 gold medals from the success of Nguyen Tran Duy Nhat (muay) and Duong Thuy Vy (wushu). At the 2025 World Games, the two athletes will continue to compete in Vietnamese sports.
