On the evening of April 10, U17 Vietnam arrived in Surabaya (Indonesia), officially entering the journey to participate in the 2026 U17 Southeast Asian Championship.

After nearly a day of moving, the whole team arrived at the tournament venue and quickly stabilized accommodation. The host organizing committee arranged a team of volunteers to provide thoughtful support, along with a system of transportation vehicles including buses, vans and specialized trucks to transport equipment for participating teams.

At Surabaya, U17 Vietnam is stationed at Movenpick Surabaya - an international standard hotel arranged by AFF and the organizers. From the airport, the team travels for about 45 minutes to return to accommodation. After completing room check-in procedures, the whole team has dinner and rests to recover their fitness after a long journey.

According to the plan, on April 11, team leaders and representatives of the coaching staff will attend a technical meeting before the tournament. Head coach Cristiano Roland also attended the press conference before the opening match of Group A - a group with the presence of U17 Vietnam and opponents U17 Indonesia, U17 Malaysia and U17 Timor-Leste.

In the afternoon of the same day, the team entered the first training session in Indonesia to complete professional preparation. According to the schedule, U17 Vietnam will meet U17 Malaysia at 3:30 PM on April 13th at Gelora Joko Samudro Stadium. This is considered an important match opening the campaign of coach Cristiano Roland's team at this year's tournament.
