The Southeast Asian Jujitsu Youth Championship and Championship will be held in Manila City - Philippines, from July 10 to 14.
The tournament has more than 800 athletes from the following countries: Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam, competing in the competitions of Newaza Gi, Newaza Nogi, Fighting.
The Vietnam national team has 93 athletes participating, of which Cao Bang province has 5 athletes from the Provincial Sports and Arts Training and Competition Center, including, Phung Mui Nhinh (born 2006); Trinh Thi Nhep (born 2008); Trieu Thu Thuy (born 2008); Trieu To Khanh (born 2012); Vuong Tri Hai (born 2008).
On the first day of competition, in the opening competition of the competition day of the Newaza Gi women's 44 kg competition, athlete Trieu Thu Thuy completed high-difficult technical moves, giving the audience an eye-catching performance and excellently won the gold medal in the Newaza Gi women's 44 kg event and 1 bronze medal in the women's 44 kg Fighiting event.
In the first 6 months of 2025, Cao Bang province's sports have achieved many encouraging results, most recently at the 2025 National Youth Athletics Championship held from June 15 to 25 in Lai Chau province.
At the end of the tournament, the Cao Bang provincial athlete delegation broke the national record twice and won 4 medals of all kinds including: 1 Gold Medal in the mixed relay event 400 m - 800 m - 1,200 m - 1,600 m - U18, breaking the national record in 2024; 1 Silver Medal in the women's 5,000 m run U18 (athlete Trieu Thi Binh), breaking the national record and achieving the national 1st level athlete; 1 Silver Medal in the women's 1,500 m run U18 (athlete Ly Mui Sau); 1 Bronze Medal in the 600 m run event born in 2012 - 2013 (athlete Hoang Khanh Minh).
