On July 9, at the 34th session of the 17th term Cao Bang Provincial People's Council, Ms. Nguyen Lam Thi Tu Anh - Director of the Department of Home Affairs of Cao Bang province shared about this issue.
Accordingly, the unit has issued a document guiding the conversion and renaming of villages (hamlets) and residential groups after the arrangement of commune-level administrative units, according to the content of Official Dispatch No. 4168/BNV-CQDP dated June 23, 2025 of the Ministry of Home Affairs.
Specifically, the number of hamlets and residential groups will remain the same as at present until new regulations are issued.
The People's Committee at the commune level will make a list and submit it to the People's Council at the same level for consideration and decision. In cases of similar names, the People's Committees at the commune level must collect opinions from voters who are representatives of households. If over 50% of the consensus is over, the new name change plan will be approved.
Regarding the regime and policies for part-time workers at the commune level, as of July 1, the whole Cao Bang province had 986/1,124 people who had quit their jobs according to the arrangement roadmap.
Currently, the whole Cao Bang province has 138 people who wish to continue working and have been assigned to do professional support work in the locality.
After May 31, 2026, those who have not been elected to hold the position of cadre or accepted into civil service under Decree 170/2025/ND-CP will be subject to the termination regime according to current regulations.
