Each team will travel to Bahrain to participate in the 2025 Asian Youth Sports Festival according to a specific competition schedule. The first members of the Vietnam Sports Delegation (including the Head of the Delegation) will leave on October 20.
Vietnam registered 75 members to attend the 2025 Asian Youth Sports Festival. We compete in the following events: badminton (1 player), jujitsu (5), boxing,... judo (2), weightlifting,... athletics (2), taekwondo (6), cycling (6), muay (11), golf (6) and weightlifting4. In which, the only representative of the Badminton Team is tennis player Nguyen Thi Thu Huyen.
The Congress took place from October 22 to October 31. The Head of the Vietnam Sports Delegation attending the Congress is Mr. Dao Duc Kien (Deputy Head of the High-performance Sports Department, Department of Physical Education and Sports of Vietnam).
The Asian Olympic Council (OCA) plans to attract nearly 4,000 athletes from countries across the continent to compete. Athletes participating in this Congress are limited to 14 to 17 years old.
In the most recent time attending this Congress in 2013, Vietnamese sports won 5 gold medals, 4 silver medals, 2 bronze medals.
The goal at the 2025 Asian Youth Sports Festival is to strive for a gold medal. Previously, mixed martial arts (MMA) was expected to participate but withdrew to prepare more carefully for professional skills.
