The sports movement in Vietnam is developing rapidly. In addition to professionally organized tournaments, there are also a series of grassroots tournaments springing up, especially football. This poses a big challenge for the units responsible for managing the organization of these tournaments.
Sharing with Lao Dong, Mr. Nguyen Nam Nhan - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City said: "For high-performance football, the department organizes tournaments for gifted teams, children, championships, open and international, serving clubs and teams of districts.
For the movement, organize tournaments for districts, departments, units and enterprises, on a large scale and with the participation of foreigners. In addition, the department also licenses qualified clubs and enterprises to do business and operate sports, especially in the field of football training".
In case of incidents or inappropriate behavior on the field, Mr. Nam Nhan informed about the solution as follows: "These tournaments are all carried out according to Circular 09 on organizing mass sports tournaments. Tournaments of the above scale will be reported to the Department of Culture and Information of the district or county in that place according to the regulations (regulations, plans, security, health). There are some internal tournaments that are mainly just announced.
The Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City has also given instructions to the federations. As for football, the Ho Chi Minh City Football Federation and the Inspectorate of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City jointly manage it.
Regarding the fight on the field, the organizing committee will handle it. If there is a violation of the law, depending on the nature, the organizing committee and the locality will propose handling it according to the law."
